- I used to run my A1000 from the HD of my A3000 a while back and it seemed
- to get pretty good speed for loading programs over ParNet. I don't have
- any exact numbers in bytes/sec, but it the speed was in between hard drive
- & floppy drive speed. It was definitely closer to HD speed than floppy
- though, for sure. This is really a great use of ParNet. My old A1000 never
- has had a hard drive in it. You can even set up a special WB floppy to
- mount Parnet at boot-up and transfer all of it's assigns through the NET:
- (ie; SYS:, C:, etc.). It sure beats running from floppies. :-)
