  18. I used to run my A1000 from the HD of my A3000 a while back and it seemed 
  19. to get pretty good speed for loading programs over ParNet. I don't have 
  20. any exact numbers in bytes/sec, but it the speed was in between hard drive 
  21. & floppy drive speed. It was definitely closer to HD speed than floppy 
  22. though, for sure. This is really a great use of ParNet. My old A1000 never 
  23. has had a hard drive in it. You can even set up a special WB floppy to 
  24. mount Parnet at boot-up and transfer all of it's assigns through the NET: 
  25. (ie; SYS:, C:, etc.). It sure beats running from floppies. :-)
